Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedVought Signs $400 Million Contract For V-22 Tail Parts

Vought Aircraft Industries Inc. recently signed a $400 million contract with the Bell Helicopter Textron [TXT] to manufacture tail parts including the empennage, ramp and ramp door, for the V-22 Osprey, according to Vought.
Bell and partner Boeing [BA] build the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft for both the Navy and Air Force.
The contract covers deliveries through 2013.
Dallas-based Vought Aircraft Industries has delivered more than 100 V-22 tail structures to Bell Helicopter.
