McDonnell Douglas

Defense Daily, June 6, 1994

McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis, Mo., was awarded a $1.3 billion contract Friday for six Lot VI C-17 production aircraft. The contract, expected to be completed by August 1996, is unrelated to a wide-ranging settlement offered by the Pentagon to McDonnell Douglas for design problems, past claims, and mismanagement of the program.

The Air Force also awarded Pratt & Whitney a $74 million contract for 16 production Lot VI F117-PW-100 engines for use on C-17 aircraft.
