Topic: RSS FeedCasino for Taiwanese island
Leisure Report, Sept, 2007
Navegante Group, owned by Larry Woolf, the former chief executive of the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, has agreed to operate a 350m [pounds sterling] casino resort and hotel off the Taiwan coast. The development in the Penghu Islands, which will include a luxury hotel and entertainment complex, is being planned by Amazing Holdings, an Aim-listed company.
The resort is set to be developed as part of a government strategy to create a tourism industry in Taiwan, which will include legalising gambling in a limited form. The site would be the first to win a gambling licence from the Taiwanese government.
