Leisure Report, March, 2005
London Clubs International, the UK gaming group, announced it had agreed to link up with Societe des Bains de Mer Monte-Carlo, the Monaco based Monte-Carlo leisure company, for a "marketing alliance aimed at developing international market growth in the gaming industry through shared marketing strategies."
The deal will give LCI customers access to gambling events run by SBM such as the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and the Monte Carlo Sporting Club, while SBM customers will also have access to sporting events that LCI market in the UK.
LCI hopes the deal will help raise its international profile. Bill Timmins, LCI chief executive, said: "We are excited about the prospects of these two luxury brands getting together to develop both the market and its players on an international scale. Customers will be able to enjoy the benefits of the renowned and exclusive hotels, restaurants and casino operations of SBM."
Bernard Lambert, chief executive of SBM, added: "This alliance provides access to some of the premier UK events for our customers and to some of the world's finest casinos."
