American Leisure Group said chairman Sir David Garrard has decided to step down from the post with immediate effect and will be replaced by non executive director David Mace, who will become non-executive chairman of the company.

Garrard has decided to step down as a result of the increasing time required in relation to his other commercial undertakings. He will remain a non executive director of the company.
