Topic: RSS FeedLadbrokes' Turk bid falls short
Leisure Report, Sept, 2008
The Inteltek venture of Greece's Intralot and Turkish mobile phone operator Turkcell has made the best bid in the second and final round of a tender to operate the Turkish sports betting company Iddaa, the tender commission chairman said.
He said in the televised tender that the Inteltek venture, current operator of Iddaa, had made an offer to take 1.4% of revenues under the revenue-sharing scheme, the lowest of three offers.
A consortium of Turkey's Dogan Yayin, Italy's Lottomatica and Snai had made the best bid of 6.1% in the first round.
Britain's Ladbrokes was also taking part in the tender in a venture with Turkey's Lotos.
