Delta Air Lines on May 3 will end an agreement with a Mesa Air Group unit. Delta said the Mesa unit did not meet an agreed-upon completion rate, but Mesa contends that Delta bumped some of its flights in order to operate mainline flights. Mesa officials said the termination notice violates the contract. Apr 3, 2008

Mesa Air Group reported its preliminary traffic figures for March 2008. Year-over-year available seat miles decreased 13.74% in March 2008 to 691,147 compared to 801,255 in March 2007. Revenue passenger miles decreased 17.21% from 630,238 in 2007 to 521,749 in 2008. Passenger enplanements decreased 20.90% from 1,492,329 in March 2007 to 1,180,395 in March 2008. Year-over-year load factor for the month of March was 75.49% in 2008 compared to 78.66% in 2007. Mesa reported a Controllable Completion factor of 98.7% and a Total Completion Factor of 96.6% -- the difference being primarily the impact of air traffic control, severe weather and other cancellations outside of our control. Mesa's on-time performance for March was 75.8%. Apr 3, 2008

Mesa Air Group said traffic fell 17 percent in March as weather hurt travel in some parts of the country and the airline offered fewer seats. The Phoenix-based airline said revenue passenger miles, or one paying passenger flown one mile, dropped to 521.7 million from 630.2 million. Capacity, or the number of available seat miles, fell almost 14 percent to 691.1 million. Load factor, which measures the percentage of available seats filled, dropped 3.2 points to 75.49 percent. Year-to-date, Mesa's traffic is down over 14 percent, capacity is off more than 11 percent and load factor is down 2.4 percentage points to 71.51 percent. Apr 3, 2008

Mesa Air Group flew 447.9 million RPMs in February, an 11.6% decrease from the year-ago month. Capacity fell 8.1% to 627.8 million ASMs, dropping load factor 2.8 points to 71.4%. Mar 24, 2008
