It said yesterday that the carrier will provide airfreight services between Colombia and the US using an undisclosed number of 767-300 freighters. It said it will add two new 777 freighters to the fleet next year. Flights to other Latin American destinations are possible. LAN estimated that Colombia exports 200,000 tons of air cargo annually to the US. The Colombian affiliate will be managed by Colombian executives and staffed with technicians from that nation, LAN said. It has not been named. 7/7/2008
