Jet Airways will launch flights from Pune to Hyderabad (daily), Nagpur (six-times-weekly) and Ahmedabad (daily) on July 15 aboard ATR 72-500s. 7/3/2008

Jet Airways said it has gained approval from India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation to serve as the Type Rating Training Organization for its Type Rating Training School, which will enable it to "induct pilots in smaller batches at regular intervals in order to optimize the usage of simulator as well as ground school training facilities. . .[leading to] faster, more-efficient induction of pilots into its workforce to fly its growing fleet." 7/2/2008

JetBlue Airways flew 2.17 billion RPMs in May, down 2.3% year-over-year. Capacity grew 1.2% to 2.74 billion ASMs and load factor fell 2.8 points to 79.2%. 6/30/2008

Mexico Tourism Board's CEO Oscar Fitch met Friday with Dave Barger, JetBlue Airways CEO and Rob Land, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, in the MTB offices in New York City to discuss new flights from the United Stated to Mexico. New routes discussed included New York-Guadalajara, Orlando-Guadalajara, Orlando-Monterrey, Washington D.C., Mexico City and New York Toluca. The flight to Toluca would give consumers the opportunity to connect with Mexico[sup.1]s low-cost airlines which all fly out of this airport. After meeting with JetBlue, Fitch also met with Elyse Elkin, Travel Impressions[sup.1] Vice-president for Latin America. Travel Impressions reported a 20 percent increase in sales to Mexico in general and a 28.5 increase to Cancun. 6/30/2008

MWW Group will provide JetBlue Airways with contingency planning and training services, incident response support and issues management counsel under a deal announced Tuesday. Contract covers on-site support in 53 markets across the US, Caribbean and Latin America. 7/4/2008
