Bombardier

Bombardier said it delivered 361 aircraft in fiscal 2007, up 10% from year-ago levels. The Canadian aircraft company said orders for new planes nearly doubled to 698 from 363 in the previous year. Regional aircraft deliveries were up 14% to 128. Reflecting a shift in the market toward larger aircraft, the company delivered 47 Q400s compared to 31 a year earlier. It also delivered 56 CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft compared to 50 the previous year. It reported a significant increase in its order book to 238 from 87. Mar 5, 2008

Delta Air Lines, Boeing

Delta will consider ordering more Boeing 777s, CFO says: Delta Air Lines will decide later this year whether to exercise options that will allow it to buy more Boeing 777s. The airline took delivery of a new 777 on Friday. Chief Financial Officer Ed Bastian noted that the new planes will allow Delta to continue its international expansion. Mar 3, 2008

GECAS Asset Management

The Memphis Group, an aviation parts distributor, has been renamed GECAS Asset Management Services. GE purchased the company in 2006. Mar 7, 2008

Porter Airlines, Bombardier

Porter Airlines exercised options for two additional Bombardier DHC-8-Q400s for delivery in early 2009. Six Q400s from the initial order for 10 already are in service and four more are expected by year end. Porter operates out of Toronto City Centre and serves Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and Mt. Tremblant. It will fly to Newark from March 31. Mar 4, 2008
