Space station robot fails to power up. The new $210 million robot on the International Space Station failed to power up on Thursday. NASA officials say they are fairly confident that they can fix the robot quickly and plan to make software changes after 5 p.m. on Friday. The space shuttle Endeavour has arrived at the International Space Station, and astronauts began inspecting the shuttle for damage that may have occurred during the launch. United Launch Alliance
United Launch Alliance said an Atlas 5 rocket with a classified U.S. satellite launched early Thursday. United Launch, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, built the rocket. It could not confirm whether the satellite has reached orbit because of the nature of the launch, a spokesman said. Mar 13, 2008
