Travel agents can book their clients on the 2009 Smooth Music Cruise through a private extension established by CruisesOnly. The new number for agents in the U.S. is 877-529-9729 ext. 71655. Travel agents who make reservations on behalf of their clients on the 2009 Smooth Music Cruise will receive commission compensation, which will vary according to the cabin category booked. The five-night cruise sets sail from Miami Jan. 31-Feb. 5. This Caribbean cruise will feature shows, autograph signings, interview sessions and late-night jam sessions with artists including Norman Brown, Nick Colionne, Boney James, Mindi Abair, Larry Carlton, Heather Headley, Acoustic Alchemy, Marion Meadows, Michael Lington, Shilts, Steve Oliver, Chieli Minucci, Alan Hewitt and Althea Rene. The cruise is a full-ship charter onboard the Celebrity Cruises' Century. It visits Key West, Nassau and Coca Cay. A Super Bowl party is also planned. Avanti Destinations has a new FIT for Peru that provides gourmet dining, high end hotels, cooking lessons, market visits, wine tasting sessions, and sightseeing. The 10-day/nine-night Epicurean Route: Peruvian Food & Travel includes Lima, Cuzco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu -- plus the Hiram Bingham deluxe train between Cuzco and Machu Picchu. The tour is focused on the affluent traveler. Included are roundtrip air transfers between Lima and Cuzco, five nights in Lima (including one night before departure), one night in the Sacred Valley, one night in the Machu Picchu area, and two nights in Cuzco. Also included are four culinary lessons or tasting sessions, several gourmet meals at top restaurants, and sightseeing tours of Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu. Price is from $5,132 per person double occupancy. Baha Mar Resorts

Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. announced Thursday it has inked an agreement with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts to manage Wyndham Nassau Resort. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts will manage and oversee the daily operations of the 850-room property including sales, marketing, revenue management and food and beverage support. Jeffry Humes has been appointed as managing director of the property and will [sup.3]work closely with the current management team to ensure a smooth transition with the existing team at the resort and the Wyndham organization,[sup.2] according to a written release. Humes has more than 30 years experience working in various management positions within the hospitality and gaming industries. He has been a consultant and operations director for many notable casinos in the U.S. including the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort and Bally[sup.1]s Grand Casino Hotel, both in Atlantic City, and the Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
