Earn a reward for car repairs

Motorists taking their vehicle for servicing or repairs at Ford dealers will be able to collect points for the Nectar loyalty programme.

The car-maker is the eighth sponsor to sign-up to the scheme which allows customers to exchange points for rewards such as free meals, flights and cinema tickets.

Ford say participating dealers will give two points for every pounds 1 customers spend on routine servicing, non-warranty repairs and MOTs, while Ford RapidFit centres will offer the same for work carried out on any make of vehicle.

Customers buying a new Ford, after an initial launch, will not be able to collect Nectar points unless part of a specific campaign.

Dealers will be able give points on used cars at their discretion, Ford said.

Loyalty Management UK, the company which operates Nectar says it has attracted more than 11 million card-holders since the scheme was launched in September 2002.
