Help train dogs
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Jan 6, 2006
Police are looking for empty buildings to train dogs in.
Officers particularly need premises in Sunderland, Washington and South Tyneside.
They need vacant properties to use to train dogs to search premises for missing people or to locate a suspect.
He said: "It is essential to train our dogs on new premises to keep them alert and fully engaged in their work. In the past we've used office blocks and old nursing homes. Even if a property is vacant just for a couple weeks, we could really make good use of it."
Anyone with suitable properties can contact PC Andy Errington on (0191) 454 7555 ext 66126.
