Fishing boats safe
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Feb 22, 2007
Gale-driven waves up to 25ft high threatened three fishing boats trying to reach safe harbour last night.
Seahouses lifeboat Grace Darling, was launched in darkness to shine a searchlight on breaking waves to help the fishing boats edge their way towards the shelter of the harbour.
The fishing boats, Standsure, Good Fellowship and Harvest Home, with a combined crew of seven made their way safely home despite the large waves breaking diagonally across the harbour and very high tide.
