Cheap flights

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Jan 31, 2007

British Airways is slashing prices on half a million seats to win back customers after yesterday's narrowly averted strike.

People booking before February 6 can take advantage of fares reduced by up to 68% to 48 destinations, with many of the cut price flights going in the next fortnight.

Andrew Crawley, BA head of sales, said: "We recognise many customers may have delayed booking flights due to the strike threat.

"Now the strike is off we have decided to further reduce many of our air fares so travellers can take advantage of the higher than usual seat availability over the coming weeks at excellent prices." Some of the best deals are for the United States, with a return trip to New York offered at pounds 199, more than a 50% discount.
