Chat show phone fury

Chat show host Richard Madeley interrupted his show to issue an angry threat to a mugger who stole his daughter's mobile phone.
Madeley shook his fist at the camera during yesterday's Channel 4 Richard and Judy show. Student Chloe Madeley, 19, is on work experience in Notting Hill and was chatting on her phone as she walked along Portobello Road, London, when a girl grabbed it.
Troops raid
Israeli troops raided a Palestinian military HQ early today and arrested 18 fugitives who had sought shelter there. In the raid, about 30 military vehicles surrounded the three-storey building in southern Ramallah.
Wine man dies
Ernest Gallo, the marketing genius who turned pounds 3,000 and a wine recipe from a public library into the world's largest winemaking empire has died at his California home. Gallo, 98 on March 18, was born near Modesto, in the San Joaquin Valley and worked in his father's vineyard.
Tax band call
The majority of people regard the current council tax system as unfair and 65% think owners of bigger houses should be made to pay more by increasing the tax bands from eight to 12, according to a poll by NOP for the BBC.
Ethiopia effort
Investigators are working "around the clock" to find five Europeans linked to the British embassy in Ethiopia who went missing last Thursday. No-one has claimed responsibility for their disappearance yet, the British Foreign Office said.
Seaside help
MPs are calling for seaside towns to be given more Government help. The Commons local government committee said many coastal communities had poor housing and influxes of elderly people put pressure on social services.
