Jaguar voted diesel delight!

THE new Jaguar XF sports saloon has picked up another award being named as the What Diesel Car of the Year.
The 2.7-litre V6 diesel XF, which is priced from pounds 33,900, also topped the Executive car category in the magazine's prestigious annual award s.
It is the latest accolade for the British built saloon which has already been honoured with the What Car? Car of the Year title and an Autocar design award .
Jaguar's sister company Land Rover also won the award for the best diesel 4x4 with the Freelander 2.
The two brands have recently been sold by Ford to TATA of India for pounds 1billion.
Announcing the winners What Diesel editor Ian Robertson, said: "This year has seen some tough opposition join the new car market, with the Fiat 500 and Jaguar XF leading the pack.
"There are also some familiar names lining up to collect awards, with the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, Ford Mondeo, Land Rover Freelander 2 and Nissan Qashqai joining the honours list for the second year running.
"I am delighted to announce that the Jaguar XF has won the coveted title of What Diesel Car of the Year 2008. It is well deserved and is testament to all the fine people that are proud to say that they work for Jaguar. The car drives exceptionally, and looks absolutely stunning and catapults Jaguar right up the road to success."
