Parking warning
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Dec 24, 2008
A CRACKDOWN has been launched on parents who flout the law to deliver their children to and from school.
Blyth's Neighbourhood Policing Team have heard concerns from residents living by South Beach First and St Andrew's First Schools.
Blyth Neighbourhood Beat Manager PC Ivan Storey said: "Not only is this inconsiderate parking, it is also dangerous, especially for the youngsters coming in and out of school. Parents could actually be increasing the risks of an accident for their own children."
He said letters had been sent to parents, officers would be putting notes on windscreens of offending vehicles and tickets will be issued if problems persist in the New Year.
