Free advice on courses
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Feb 11, 2008
A LIBRARY is giving free advice on Open University courses.
Three further sessions will be held at Blyth Library, in the town's Bridge Street, noon to 2pm, on Thursday, March 6, May 8 and July 10.
The library has already successfully staged one session in January where university advisers were on hand for information and an informal chat about courses and study plans.
Coun Mick Scullion, Northumberland County Council's executive member for community services, said: "Libraries play an important role in enabling people to continue to learn throughout their life, and it is great to be able to host these sessions."
The sessions are organised in partnership between Northumberland County Council's customer services, libraries and archives division and the Open University.
No appointment is necessary. For more details contact Mark Annis on (01670) 361352.
