PLENTY of foreigners down the years have failed to settle in the North East, so perhaps Sunderland are leading the way with their latest signing Rade Prica.

The Sweden international has proved an instant hit with Wearside fans after scoring on his debut against Birmingham and helping Sunderland to three points against Wigan.

So what's the secret of his success?

Well it could be down to recent sightings at Ikea in the Metro Centre!

The Swedish retail store has everything Prica could want, and an Ikea insider told Howay Ref: "It all seems pretty logical really - whenever Rade gets homesick he comes here.

"If he wants to deck his home out like it is in Sweden he can - and he can also stock up on Swedish foods and beers if he needs to.

"He's even been spotted at the hot dog stall at the end of the store!"

If only Swedish flop Andreas Andersson had thought of this idea when he was at Newcastle, eh?
