These can go for miles; MALCOLM TUMBRIDGE gives advice on buying a used car IN ASSOCIATION WITH FISH 4

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Jan 16, 2008

CAR reliability and perhaps more importantly durability have improved enormously over the last 10 years.

Looking at car prices for vehicles registered in 1999 and 2000 it is clear that mileage stops being one of the key price drivers on old cars.

Cars of that vintage are being priced on demand and condition, not mileage.

So if the trade is less concerned about mileage, perhaps we should be too.

Here are three cars that have often completed significant motorway mileage and can be found at great prices.

Best used buy: 525i has great engine and SE specification and is more comfy.
