Crash charge

A MOTORIST has been charged with causing the death of a 22-year-old man by dangerous driving more than five months after a dual carriageway crash.
Gary Forster, 39, of Curzon Place, Gateshead, was last night charged in connection with a smash involving a BMW and Ford Escort on the A19 in Sunderland on January 21.
Ford Escort driver Christopher Turnbull, who was from Gateshead but moved to Sunderland, was killed in the collision north of the junction with the A1231.
Mr Turnbull was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Forster is due to appear at Sunderland Magistrates Court later today.
