A LOW-SALT diet does not appear to help asthmatics control their condition, a study says. Research by academics at the University of Nottingham has found that, contrary to previous reports, a salt-free or low-salt diet does not alleviate the symptoms of asthma. According to Asthma UK, the country has 5.2m sufferers of the condition.
