Diabetes boost
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Nov 21, 2008
BOSSES at a theatre helped to throw some light on a chronic condition.
The Customs House, in South Shields, took part in a global awareness campaign to mark World Diabetes Day.
The entertainment venue got involved after it was approached for help by the local Diabetes UK voluntary group.
Diabetes affects 2.5 million people in the UK, and a further 500,000 have the disease and are unaware of it.
