Loans lifeline

HELP is at hand for people struggling to pay for work on their home.
Gateshead Council has set up a loan scheme for people who need help paying for repair or maintenance work.
The loans are suitable for people who have trouble getting cash from banks or other institutions. Coun David Napier, cabinet member for housing, said: "This scheme offers a lifeline to homeowners."
