Choir in radio sing-off final

A CHOIR based in Durham has reached the finals of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition after seeing off competition from hundreds of choirs across the UK.
The 29-strong Northern Spirit Singers, composed of past and present Durham University students and music teachers, will head to the category finals in the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall at 7pm on the November 8.
