Irene Dixon, 56, who lives on Chirton Grange, said: "We couldn't believe our eyes. "We thought it had just been abandoned, but then one of them got out to go use the toilet. "I've never seen anything like it, they were making a racket. "I don't know how they all got in there, it was only a small dingy thing." A male pensioner, who lives on White house Lane but did not want to be named, said: "It was a surreal sight seeing them pulling it down the road. "I thought the car that was pulling it must have broken down, but apparently they just pinched it. "It could have been dangerous though, pulling that thing around with a live gas cannister."
