HIGH Street just managed to beat North Shields Gunner 7-6 in the only Second Division match played.
Goals for High Street came from Ryan Wigham (4), Anthony Goldie (2) and Alan Goldie. The Gunners' efforts were scored by Paul Noon (2), James Ridley, Chris McMath and Alan Langlands (2).
In the First Division, Blyth Kitty Brewster enjoyed a 6-2 victory at White House Ashington. Strikes from Craig Cook (2), Chris McCartney, David Foster, Sean Anderson and Kai Humphries sealed the points, Alan Brown and Graham Weightman notching for the White House.
Ashington Mortimer and Bebside ended in a 2-2 draw.
Ross Waldy and Brian Henderson were on target for Mortimer, Ross McCloud and David Mason for Bebside.
In round one of the George Davison Cup, the Shields derby between the Albert and the Alexandara was won by the Albert 5-1. Albert's tally was made up by Chris Hunt (2), Chris Farman, Dennis Livermore and Scott Pocklington, the Alexandra gaol from Chris Appleby.
Monkseaton Hunting Lodge edged past North Shields Oddfellows 4-3. Keith Kennedy (2), Nigel Morris and an own goal from Michael Gill made up the total, Oddfellows replied with Michael Gill, Carl Palmer, Thomas Chirnside.
In the first round of the Saints Shield, the Eagle lost 1-0 to New Delaval and Newsham, the goal was Paul Middleton's.
The only game in round one of the Eric Anderson Cup saw Northern SC Ashington beat Royal Tavern 5-1. Scott Murray bagged four and Michael Hogg the other, with Stephen Elsey for the Tavern.
In the two rounds of the Alan Davison Cup, Whitley Bay Venture lost 4-2 in round one against Monkseaton Black Horse. Scoring for the Venture was Michael Tait and Andrew Smith. Black Horse's strikes came from Colin Dougal, Alan Clarke (2) and Dean Clay.
In round two, Bedlington Grapes triumphed over New Hartley Hastings 2-1. Grapes' marksmen were Chris Piriz and Shahab Makvandi, with Darren Kipling for Hastings.
Cullercoats CPS lost 5-2 at home against Ashington RAOB. Stephen Monahan scored for Cullercoats, Adam Ryder (3), Robert Storey and David Ritches for RAOB.
Burradon and New Fordley beat Blyth Town Sunday 5-4.
