Charity's appeal
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Sept 4, 2008
RUNNERS are being urged to raise money for the British Red Cross at this year's Great North Run.
The charity is looking for entrants who have already secured a place and would be willing to raise cash for them to continue helping vulnerable people in the UK.
Red Cross runners will receive training tips and advice on nutrition in the build-up to the run as well as a reviving massage afterwards.
Runners will not be asked to raise a minimum amount.
