School voted in the top 20

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Sept 4, 2008

A SCHOOL with students in China and South Africa is celebrating 20 years of distance learning.

Durham Business School was recently named as one of the top 20 businesses schools in the world for providing flexible courses to hundreds of international students.

Craig Davidson graduated from the school this year after starting his MBA studies in 2001.

Craig, a European production engineer with Nissan, said: "Flexibility has been the key for me as well as Durham's reputation.

"I have a demanding job involving lots of travelling and the arrival of my second child meant domestic life was equally as demanding.

"I needed a course where I could fit the work around my commitments and the distance learning MBA allowed me to do just that."

This month the business school will be marking its 20th year of distance learning with a celebration dinner for its original students.
