Treat on the menu

PRIMARY school pupils sat down to lunch with a very special guest to celebrate the opening of their new kitchen.
Newcastle Vipers' Derek Campbell joined youngsters at High Spen Primary School, in Gateshead for the special meal.
The event will form part of the school's healthy lifestyle week, aimed to encouraged pupils and staff to take exercise and eat well.
Since the kitchen opened the school has reported an increase in its school meals uptake.
Headteacher Jean Fisher said: "Having our own kitchen on site enables us to be more meticulous with our menus.
"The children who use the community garden to grow vegetables will also see the fruits of their labour cooked in school."
