Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), June 19, 2009

FFOS LAS was universally branded a triumph after the newest British turf racecourse in 80 years threw open its gates for the first time.

Nestled into the hillside between the towns of Llanelli and Carmarthen, a sell- out crowd of 10,000 were in attendance last night to witness the inaugural fixture at the Welsh track.

Champion jockey Tony McCoy, who recorded a treble thanks to wins for Sea Wall, Danehill Willy and Nostringsattached, said : " It's a lovely track."
