Charlie is the darling; James grabs hat-trick in Cullercoats win: Football Pools Trust Killingworth Mini League
Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England), Nov 11, 2009
FC CULLERCOATS bounced back to form to defeat KYPC Jaguars 5-0 in the United Under-10 League.
Charlie James opened the scoring for Cullercoats with a cool finish, Aaron Dixon netting the second from a corner - and that is the way it remained until half-time.
In the second period it was Cullercoats who went further ahead when Holly Summers bundled in the third. David Shipley made it 4-0 with a fierce drive before James completed his brace late on.
KYPC Panthers continued their winning ways by defeating Burradon 6-1.
Panthers led 3-0 at the interval courtesy of a Jack Armstrong double and a Connor Little strike.
Burradon hit back early in the second period, Jake Gurthue getting on the scoresheet.
However, KYPC were soon back into their stride, Ben Walker adding the fourth and further goals from Harry Avis and Callum Corkhill wrapping up the points.
Seghill enjoyed a convincing 11-0 success over Wallsend Community, Stephen Lucas (7), Liam Scott (3) and Thomas Stoetzal on the scoresheet.
Ponteland United Barca beat WBBC United 3-0, Burnside United claimed a 3-1 triumph over New Fordley, Ponteland United Magpies overcame WBBC Rovers 2-1 and KYPC Ajax disposed of Forest Hall Blues 5-1. In the Amberley Under-Nine League, KYPC Rockets beat Forest Hall Red Devils 5-1. A slow start by the Rockets meant Forest Hall took full advantage thanks to Stefan Clough's finish.
The Rockets, though, came back strongly, Sean Smith slotting home and a quick double from Max Ferriday giving them a 3-1 advantage at the break.
Further strikes from Ben Ramsey and Jo Foalle sealed the victory.
Seaton Burn Youth defeated WBBC United 6-1 with Connor Terry (3), Joseph Swinney, Nathan Oakley and Lee Armstrong notching for Burn, Oliver Harrison with the reply for United.
Heaton Hawks recorded a superb 4-1 victory over Whitley Bay Barca.
Ponteland United Pumas accounted for Burnside United 14-1, Wallsend Community beat Tynemouth United 11-0 and Forest Hall Reds cruised home 15-0 against KYPC Jets.
REPORTS on all of Sunday's junior league action, plus the latest girls football reports, will be in Grassroots in Saturday night's Evening Chronicle
