A lindley graduate has received acclaim for his achievements. Adam Preece, 22, has received a distinction from Bradford University in his chemical engineering master's degree. The former pupil of Greenhead College, Huddersfield, and Salendine Nook High School, also won the Costain Prize for being the best overall student.
He received pounds 250. He will now go on to study for a PhD at the university.
