Win a Songs Of Praise first
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), May 20, 2005
Incredibly enough, it is the first album released in conjunction with the BBC's Songs Of Praise programme.
It is also the first time that the theme tune - one of the most recognisable on British TV - has ever been available on a recording.
Add the little matter of programme regulars of the stature of Aled Jones, Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, Andrea Bocelli, Kiri Te Kanawa, Russell Watson, Hayley Westenra, the choir of King's College, Cambridge, Lesley Garrett and Cliff Richard and the Songs Of Praise Album with its two CDs - out this week - is sure to be in big demand.
We can give Examiner readers the chance to win five copies signed by Aled Jones himself.
The programme, which has been in the air since October 1961, regularly attracts over four million viewers and has the capacity to give a huge boost to the record sales of its stars.
Here there are 23 tracks on the first CD, titled Your Favourite Hymns and 19 tracks on the second CD Sacred Songs & Arias.
To win simply tell us who will be signing the CD album for Examiner competition winners?
Answers on a postcard or the back of a sealed envelope and send it to: Songs Of Praise competition, Features department, Huddersfield Daily Examiner, PO Box A26, Queen Street South, Huddersfield, HD1 2TD.
