A MARKETING agency founded in Huddersfield is continuing its winning ways.

Propaganda, chaired by Denby Dale man Julian Kynaston, has been named Yorkshire marketing services agency of the year for the second year running.

It has also been voted Yorkshire advertising agency of the year.

Both awards come from media industry publication The Drum.

The awards cap a record 2006 for Propaganda, which secured more than 20 new clients and completed a pounds 14m management buyout.

New clients included sandwich and savouries retailer Greggs, Seabrook Crisps, telecoms firm Kingston Communications, Best Western Hotels and computer software specialist Sage.

Propaganda, now based in Leeds, won most of the new business in pitches against some of the UK's leading agencies.

During 2006 Propaganda won awards for its work with clients including Spear and Jackson garden tools firm and hair care products firm GHD.

It also masterminded successful television advertising campaigns for Batley-based Fox's Biscuits, Seabrook, GHD and The Car People.

Mr Kynaston said: "The year was a landmark one for Propaganda.

"We have won an unprecedented amount of new business with some of the UK's leading brand names, gained a host of awards and completed the buyout, which highlights the financial stability of the company."

Propaganda, which was founded in 1996, employs 100 people and has annual sales of pounds 15m.
