Win BBC weather man Paul

Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), May 2, 2007

Viewers of BBC's Look North will get the chance to win the programme's weatherman Paul Hudson.

Programme producers will launch a competition next Tuesday which will allow viewers to win the special prize of Paul broadcasting the weather from their back garden, allotment or window box for the 6.30pm show.

The competition will involve people watching the programme to see what colour shirt Paul wears each day.

They will then need to explain why he should film from their home.

Hudson is married to Huddersfield woman Nicola Shaw.

Look North editor Tim Smith said: "Paul is a very popular character around Yorkshire and he loves his gardens.

"We thought it would be a really nice idea to take him out and about, and give viewers the chance to meet him and show off their gardens and window boxes while we broadcast the weather."

The winner of the first competition will be announced on Tuesday May 15. Filming will take place on Friday May 18.
