> CALDER Valley MP Chris McCafferty has an additional job. She has been elected chairman of the Social, Health and Family Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Assembly acts as a watchdog on human rights, democracy and the rule of law in its member states. Ms McCafferty said: "The Parliamentary Assembly is extremely important in building close links with our neighbours and ensuring that human rights are safeguarded across our continent."
