THAT'S the kind of text message which could be sent to people in Kirklees if a plan gets the go-ahead.
Kirklees Council's Cabinet will decide tomorrow whether to pay for a plan to notify residents by text message the day before their bin collection is due.
The Conservative-run Cabinet will decide whether to pay for the Green Party proposal. Council officials have suggested spending pounds 7,500 on a trial.
Green Party group leader Clr Andrew Cooper said: "This scheme would have a positive impact.
"There are an awful lot of people who simply forget to put their bin out, which means they have rubbish for up to a month."
A similar service in East Yorkshire has attracted more than 5,000 users.
Kirklees's Cabinet will also decide on a Green Party proposal to bring in compartmentalised litter bins in Huddersfield town centre.
They would have separate sections for recyclable waste.
A trial of 25 bins would cost pounds 15,500.
Clr Cooper said: "The council should be doing a lot more to encourage town centre users to recycle."
The Cabinet will also decide whether to research the possibility of collecting organic waste in Kirklees.
Clr Cooper explained: "It's about collecting organic waste, such as rotting food, which is then processed to create methane. A few councils, such as Ludlow in Shropshire, already do this."
Methane can be used as a green energy source.
