Here comes the Summer!
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), June 11, 2008
SUMMER cyclo-cross again proved a big attraction when 60 riders started round three of the Paul Milnes RT-sponsored series at Huddersfield New College.
A group of three riders dominated the race with Keighley's Ian Taylor, from the sponsoring club, finishing first ahead of teenager Tom Moses (SSC Bikes for All) who had crashed in a wooded section of the one-mile lap.
Veteran Matt Denby (Aire Valley RT) was third at the end of an eventful 10 miles of racing.
The fastest local finisher was Lindley's Myles Chandler (Batley CC) in 18th with Huddersfield Road Club's Andy Whitworth 25th.
Other local finishers were: 30th Giles Bailey (Huddersfield Star Wheelers), 33rd Graham Piccavey (HSW), 34 Adam Cooper (HSW).
There were just eight riders in the Under 14 race, won by Seacroft Wheelers' Nick Barnes.
