Local briefs: Crash and jam

A CRASH on the M62 caused major congestion early today. Three cars were involved in the shunt on the westbound carriageway between Outlane and Ripponden - junctions 23 to 22 - at 6.45am. The cars were two black VW Passats and a silver Ford Focus.
No-one was hurt, but it caused long queues in both directions.
