A MAN in his 20s was injured in a crash at Dalton this morning. He was driving a Ford van along Dalton Bank Road when the accident happened just before 7am.
The car left the road and hit a telegraph pole, which snapped and fell across the road.
Firefighters from Huddersfield and Mirfield were called to the scene and cut the man from the vehicle. He suffered leg and head injuries and was taken to hospital, but is not thought to be in a serious condition. The road was blocked for 30 minutes while the man was freed from the van.
