Seeking more recruits
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), May 26, 2008
A FEMALE soldier is in Huddersfield this week to encourage people to think about careers in the Army.
Stephanie Foster, who is training to be a postal courier, will be on hand at the town's Army Careers Information Office at Kirkgate to talk about her experiences and give advice.
The 18-year-old became interested in an Army career through the involvement of the Army with the Huddersfield Ladies football club.
She played for the club.
The solider, who is in the Royal Logistic Corps regiment, has been asked to trial for the Army's Ladies football team.
This will see her representing the Army against other military service and civilian teams if she makes the cut.
Stephanie will be in the Army Careers Information Office from tomorrow to Friday to talk to potential recruits and other local people about her experiences so far.
