THE HOUSE BUNNY
Certificate: 12A.
Running time: 97 minutes.
Director: Fred Wolf.
Starring: Anna Faris, Colin Hanks.
What's the score: Each week two people give their views on one of the big releases. This week it's Liz Hunsley and Georgi Colleton from Huddersfield.
Liz says...
ANNA Faris stars as Shelley Darlington, a Playboy Bunny who is living a carefree life in the Playboy mansion until a rival bunny gets her thrown out.
Shelley has nowhere to go until she meets the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. They are clueless and unpopular, and in danger of losing their house to the scheming girls of another sorority.
Shelley becomes the Zeta Alpha Zeta housemother, teaching the girls the ways of make-up and men with her skills and charm to help them realise their true potential.
The girls then realise that they need to stop pretending to be what they aren't and at the same time Shelley finds her individuality.
This is a typical American film, up there with American Pie and I loved it from the start. Shelley is someone you will love from the very beginning of the film.
The House Bunny is fun, girly and a really good laugh. A great film to go and see with your girlfriends!
Rating: 5/5.
Georgi says...
I WAS pleasantly surprised after watching the house bunny.
I was expecting a very predictable cheesy plot but it was an uplifting film with some very funny one-liners and quirky characters.
It's a chick flick with a "Legally Blonde" feel as you find yourself rooting for the blonde, bubbly house bunny and hoping the girls help her as much as she helps them.
All this and the excellent comedy timing makes it a must-see for girls everywhere.
Rating: 5/5.
