Local briefs: Motorist hurt

ONE man was hurt in a head-on crash in Huddersfield. A blue Seat Ibiza and a Ford Transit van collided on Halifax Old Road, Grimscar, near its junction with South Cross Road, at 9.15pm on Saturday. The Seat driver, a Birkby man, suffered slight wrist and forearm injuries.
The Transit driver, a man from Hebden Bridge, was unhurt.
