A coffee morning in Meltham Parish Church Hall in aid of McMillan Cancer Support was organised last Saturday byMrs Catherine Moulson. There was a cake stall and a tombola as well as a raffle and pounds 325 was raised for McMillan funds.
Tickets are now on sale for Last Night Of The Proms on Saturday October 11 in St Bartholomew's Church (7.30pm).
The popular concert will feature Meltham and Meltham Mills Band and guest soloist will be contralto Jane Hobson from Skelmanthorpe, who is well-known in local musical circles for her singing and charity fund-raising. Tickets, priced pounds 6, are available from Scotty's Barbers, Market Place.
