SUBARU DRIVER KILLED; Impreza hit hedge and wall at blackspot

A MAN has died after a crash on a rural road notorious for bad accidents.
The 33-year-old was driving a Subaru Impreza on Wakefield Road when it left the road on a left hand bend, hit a kerb and a wall at 12.30am yesterday.
It is understood the driver was flung from the car and landed in a field.
He had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield where he died a short time later.
The car caught fire immediately after the impact.
A Honda CRV was heading the other way at the time and was damaged by flying debris as the Subaru crashed.

The tragedy happened near to the junction with Denby Grange Lane between the Kayes Arms pub and the National Coal Mining Museum.
The man comes from Wakefield, but has not yet been named.
The road was closed for several hours while police accident experts investigated the scene.
That stretch of road has been the scene of several serious and fatal accidents over the years.
At around the same spot as yesterday's tragedy, three teenagers were killed in October 1992 when their car was in a crash with a van.
In December 2002 a 25-year-old Huddersfield man died and another was badly hurt when their car was in collision with a crane at the entrance to the mining museum.
In July 1996 a 27-year-old Huddersfield nurse died in a road accident near the mining museum.
The Subaru was heading from Huddersfield towards Wakefield and anyone who saw it should contact Huddersfield traffic police on 01484 436847.
In a separate crash, a car burst into flames after smashing into four parked vehicles in Paddock.
The Vauxhall Tigra was heading down Church Street when it careered into the line of parked cars opposite Church View flats at 2.30am yesterday.
The driver ran off from the scene as the car caught fire and was engulfed by an inferno.
Huddersfield Fire Station watch manager Andy Blackburn said: "The car was well alight when we arrived and at first we feared the worst.
"If anyone had been in there they would have had no chance."
Police are investigating.
