Revellers help dying children
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), Sept 8, 2008
KIND-HEARTED revellers were hoping to raise thousands for terminally ill children.
Fancy dress cops and robbers took part in a pub crawl from Linthwaite to Meltham and joined a fun night at Meltham Conservative Club.
Adele Luty and Tracey Williams organised the event in aid of the charity the Starlight Foundation, which grants terminally ill children a final wish and provides entertainment on children's hospital wards.
Mum of three Adele said: "We both have children so it is something close to our hearts. We just thought why not help give terminally ill children something they always wanted before they pass away.
"It sounds awful but if we can help that little bit then it will all be worth it."
The charity night featured band Hot Rocks, karaoke, a raffle and auction in aid of the children's cause.
