Dancers' success
Huddersfield Daily Examiner (Huddersfield, England), June 19, 2009
TWO young dancers have won places at a top school.
Shelley College pupils Bryony Leeson and Charlotte Kitchen have qualified for the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD).
The 14-year-olds came through three auditions to win the coveted places.
The girls first performed together in the school talent show Dance Fever..
They went to NSCD workshops in March and April and were then invited to an audition in May. The session included an hour of technique, an hour of creative class and finally a solo performance.
After a check by a physiotherapist, the girls were told they had been accepted into the school..
